Gilbert/Charlton Reunion '10

Many years ago...possibly 9...we met this wonderful couple who were stationed at Fort Drum. Nina worked at VAC with Ro and her then boyfriend John was in the military. Fast forward many years, weddings, many children and many memories and you will find a friendship that lasts year after year. We are truly lucky to have met these wonderful people and we are able to share our lives daily through the net and in person once a year. We take turns travelling here and there and have even gone on mini vacations together. What ever the situation we always have a blast and go home with such fond memories to last us until next year. This year was no exception. They fed us like royalty and we just sat back and let the kids play for hours on end while we chatted and had some cocktails. It was the best two days! Last year when they came to visit us Lulu and Leah were just babies and this year watch out...they are not little babies any longer!
Seth was instantly in love with Grace!
We even had a hula hopping session.
Grace should win some sort of contest, she was amazing! I did try, but wasn't too good!
The kids schedule for the day was play, snack, play, snack. Do you see a pattern?
We even had a dance party. I love the type of friends that you can act your "true" self with. We sang and danced super silly. Loved it!
We called them the twins because they are almost the same size and have the same amount of hair...very little! Ice cream party!

Friends that you can dance and hula hoop with are the best. Having fun is what life is all about!

Where do I start? I am so glad I am one of those Fort Drum friends. And maybe before we leave, I will get to meet Nina, they sound like and awesome family! What a great trip, you guys deserved it! OK So the clams--they were the same ones we had in Maine last year that we were totally dumbfounded by and grossed out by! We had to be taught by some natives what to do with the water and condoms as well, as they laughed at us! I am glad we aren't the only ones who only eat "normal" squishy clams! What great pictures!
