Our Weekend in Rochester

We hadn't been out to visit the aunties in such a long time that we decided to make a whirlwind trip.
We walked to the lake twice from Aunt Sheryl's house on Saturday. The weather was so gorgeous.
We also utilized her pool quite a bit.

For lunch on Saturday we tried a brand new ice cream shop in Rochester. They make the ice cream right in front of you and it was so NEAT.

It comes out in rolls and it's the freshest ice cream you will ever taste.
In the evening we went to a super fun brewery. It even had a food truck right inside.
This is called "pretzilla" and YES the kids finished it.

On Sunday we hit the beach back home. We went to the Black Pond inlet to Lake Ontario and spent almost three hours. The kids played in the sand and the water nonstop and we didn't hear a peep from them unless they needed a snack.
Thank you Mother Nature for the wonderful weather you've given us lately.

Our Week in Review ~ Mid September

It's been a super hot and sunny week. On Monday we got an invite to The Connell's pool after school and jumped on it. The kids had a blast swimming and hanging out together after school and Leah was a trooper as always being the only girl. Thank goodness the boys are so kind to her.
On Tuesday I took Leah and her buddy Hannah to the library after school to make "floam". They loved every minute of it.

On Cole's birthday the boys brought a cookie to their favorite teacher and she sent us moms a selfie. Such a treat.
Roland started the process of wrapping our back pillars and we couldn't be more happy with the look. We are also excited to add a lower patio to the back yard next summer. Our mason is coming over next week to game plan it and put it on his schedule for the spring.
Today is picture day for our 6th grader.
Where did the time go and why does he have to look so grown up?

Summer in September

This weekend was jam packed with all sorts of fun. Seth started out with a sleepover birthday party plus a trip to Sky Zone for Cole's birthday. He came home exhausted from all of the nonstop fun.
On Saturday we took the kids and friends of their choice to The Cream Cheese Festival in Lowville. We stopped to visit Gram and Gramp then headed down to the festival. It was hot as heck, but the kids still really enjoyed it.

A Slice of the world's largest cheesecake

 Painting with cream cheese
Interviewed for the news, but we think they were cut because we couldn't find their interview online. Boo.
Mom and Tom came down later and took Gram and Gramp down to listen to some of the music at the festival. Gram even danced.
Saturday night we celebrated Lorie and Roland's birthdays by going to Ruyi for some delicious dinner. Lorie and Shannon ordered the "scorpion bowl". So fun.

On Sunday we went to the Melanoma Walk. Not sure who this cute girl is??
This week we have lots of after activities to attend so it'll be fun filled... making "Floam" at the library, soccer practice starts, Open House at Sherman and a trip to Rochester to see the aunties. Lots of look forward to.

Back to School

On the night before school started we gathered all of the buddies from Mrs. Johnson's class and went out for ice cream so that they could all see each other before they went their separate ways for 6th grade.

Our traditional "Back to School" signs and pics.

Roland did a fabulous job taking pictures as he dropped the kids off at school.

After the first day of school Leah and I went to our favorite place for some fattening after school treats.
Friday night we celebrated Roland's birthday with Gram and Gramp by going to Stefano's for a wonderful meal together.

 Leah loves her calamari.

We got Daddy new sneakers and Kan Jam for his birthday this year.
Then we went to The Hops Spot for dinner.
Today someone clued me into the fact that my kids made the WCSD website.
It made me smile big time.
Have a wonderful week.
