Memorial Day Weekend

We hosted the 2nd annual Memorial Day bonfire at our house last weekend. We have been so lucky to meet so many wonderful families through sports and school that the numbers grew this year to 60+ people at the party. It was a BLAST. The kids were amazing and so was the food. Next year I think we will rent a port-a-potty for the party though. It would make life much easier with that many people.

Boys out numbered the girls by a ton and this is only a few of the boys.
 Girl power
 The chaperones
 Double fisting
 Grill masters
Flames were pretty high this year

We burned 20+ trees, a wicker bench, a rocking chair and 4 pallets

Saved the door for next time.
Saturday night we had an unexpected date night at Waterside in Henderson. Perfect night to sit by the lake with the hubs.

Sunday Leah made her maiden voyage in Gram's pool and loved every minute.
Island Girl is home, uncovered, cleaned and almost ready to hit the lake. No dock slip this year so we will be trailering it. New adventures await.
On Monday we went to Southwicks for the day to sit by the lake. The kids had such a blast and we are all sun kissed from our day off.

Happy Memorial Day. It was the perfect weekend and a MUCH needed extra day off.

Mellow Weekend

This past weekend was pretty mellow thank goodness. Leah had Liv spend the night Friday night and Seth was with Nico until super late.
On Saturday we traveled to Syracuse for Molly's bridal shower. Leah was bored out of her mind, but she was also a really good sport about the whole day. After the shower we literally vegged at home because I caught some sort of allergy cold and I needed to rest.

Sunday we bought some veggies for a mini garden and finished up projects on the yard before our Memorial Day bonfire this weekend. It was a wonderful weekend.

NYSSMA Competition

Yesterday I was lucky enough to be able to go to the NYSSMA Competition with the ensemble and it was one of the best mornings of my life. The kids performed perfectly and scored GOLD. They are such a wonderful group of kids. My favorite part of the day was listening to them all sing on the bus ride. It was priceless.
It was the last time that Seth and Luke will perform together until they are back together in chorus at Case. It's been so wonderful having them together this year in ensemble. Wonderful memories for them both.

Tons of memories made yesterday. I think Seth thought I was coming back to sit with him, but alas just more pictures. I promised I wouldn't embarrass him, haha.
We are so lucky that Seth has such wonderful friends. #blessed

Seth's 6th Grade Spring Concert

Tuesday night Seth's ensemble group performed at the high school and they were spectacular. Ensemble has been a huge commitment this year. They practice every single day and it shows. Seth has loved every minute of being part of this amazing group this year. I even talked him into a bow tie for the show and he looked so stinking cute.

We love you Mrs. Faunce...come to Case with Seth next year please.
Musical Buddies (Jack, Danny, Isaac, Devin, Marcus & Brady)
 Photo bombing boys

Love these boys so much. They are always so full of life and make me smile.
That's a wrap (sniff sniff from mom).

Mother's Day 2018

Mother's Day weekend kicked butt this year. We went to Lowville and set up the summer room for my grandparents plus took them for a drive on Saturday. Then we went for a gorgeous hike on the river Sunday, sat in the sun, did yard work and went out to dinner at one of my favorite restaurants on Sunday night. It was literally a perfect weekend.

This was after the first snake we saw. We saw SIX snakes. Yuck.

Ryan's Lookout was delicious as always and as always we ate way too much. Great day with my wonderful family. I'm very grateful.
