Speech Update

Leah started her speech sessions on Thursday. We love her therapist; she is sweet, but tough and we think she is perfect for the job. Leah threw three tantrums during the thirty minute session and her therapist told me not to worry that she was determined and if we were on board we were all going to work together to get this girl talking. For this week our goals were to change Leah's "yeah" into "yes" and to get her to sign and say "help". She started signing "help" by late Thursday night and today she started to say "yes" and "help" on the way to Geneva in the truck with Justin's help. We continue to praise her and make a huge deal out of her new words as they slowly appear so here is hoping for many more. I sent this video to her therapist and she was so excited at her progress and said that next weeks homework will be tougher. Great job Beaner, we love you!
