Savoring the Final Moments of Summer

Ah, the boat, our favorite part of the summer! We decided to head out on Friday night since it might possibly be the last time we are able to go on it not knowing what the weather holds in the upcoming weekends. We grabbed our favorite pizza, the grandparents, our sweatshirts and headed out for a ride and some good eats. The water was calm, the music flowing and we all had a fantastic time.

It is hard to believe that we have been enjoying this boat for the past two years. Roland has gained so much confidence and we will soon embark on a new boat journey in the upcoming year.

Seth couldn't quite grasp the concept of being on the boat and not swimming. When we told him the water temperature he gladly stayed in the boat.

Leah was content to eat and drink....and smile!

Three beers and Poppy got a bit silly!

We even enjoyed a beautiful lake sunset.

When we got home we started a fire and cooked some Jiffy Pop over an open fire. (Thanks Voss Family for reminding us of this yummy fire treat.)

YUM! It was a great way to end a great summer!

I'm so glad to have passed our knowledge of Jeffy Bob along. We have some in the cupboard right now if you need some.

How fun! We should have a cook-out next year where everything we make can only be cooked over the fire!
