Roland's 35th Birthday Bash!

It had been 7 months since our last couples night out and what better reason to join together than when one of our own hits his mid 30s! Roland turned 35 on Thursday and 13 of our closest friends came out on Saturday night to celebrate with us and let me tell you it was eventful! We tried the new Japanese Steakhouse on Arsenal and we were not disappointed. We usually make the hour long drive to SYR to go to Ichiban's, but no longer. Ruyi was worlds better in food and entertainment and we all had so many laughs!

We finally got Zeke to leave his desk and come out for some fun. He has been a workaholic lately with his troop leaving next month so he needed a night out.

We haven't seen The Dickinson's in forever so they were a welcome sight.

Volcano!

Here is when the fun really started. Everyone at the table has to catch a shrimp in their mouth and if you do so they also squirt Sake in your mouth if you are up for the challenge. The ladies at our table declined after they saw how crazy messy it was and how drenched you got. If you look closely at this pic you will notice that Zeke is on the left side and Lisa is ducking for cover as the rest of us laugh hysterically.

They literally squirt you for at least ten or more seconds. Many of the guys went twice and their shirts were completely soaked. It was the funniest thing we have ever seen.

Travis had three rounds of sake!

Sapporo is a Japanese beer that Ro really enjoys and when he went to order a second beer the waitress asked if he wanted a large. Loving beer like he does he said of course and this giant beer was delivered!

They also sang, brought him dessert and hit the gong drums in his birthday honor.

We are very lucky that our wonderful friends were able to join us for such a fun filled evening that even continued as we went to Joe's after.

It was crazy to all be together again because it had been since my birthday last February. I see each of the girls here and there, but it was fun to all be together and catch up.

Travis got a little wild and I have no idea why he picked me up, but between the laughter and trying to hold my shirt I got through it.
