Sunday was our annual cookie day festivities and this year we put the term "child labor" into effect. Leah won't eat most sensible items of food such as meat, vegetables or grains, but if she sees candy she is right on top of it! I'm pretty sure that she unwrapped at least six before she realized that they were candy and then she opened them even faster in a great attempt to eat as many as possible. It's a good thing that her mommy is also quick; she only managed to eat two before I would grab them out of her hands. We put Seth right to work as well. We could have sat down and had a glass of wine, the kids were doing all the work. HA HA!
Thank goodness Poppy came over because Leah got bored rather quickly with cookie making once we took away her candy and Poppy was there to play with her and on this particular day Leah wanted to hang out on the stairs. Not sure why, but luckily Poppy didn't mind at all!
Seth ended up working in the basement with Daddy on his latest house project, but came upstairs long enough to frost the sugar cookies.

It was another successful cookie day and we all went away with platters of cookies to share and eat!

I love to see kids helping out in the kitchen! It's great that you Moms let them do that!
You have so much more patience that I think I EVER had. I loved the picture of Seth licking his fingers because I know they went directly from his mouth to more cookies!
