Rewind: 2nd Half of August

We went to visit our very wonderful friends The Gilbert's in August and we were treated like royalty for 48 hours and we pretty much had cocktails of some sort for 48 hours...good times.
Our first day was spent at Salisbury Beach, MA. The kids have grown to LOVE the ocean and they have no fear of skim boarding or playing in the waves. It is so amazing to watch them.
These two boys have been buddies since birth. They are only one month apart in age.

Leah was so happy for some girl time. She and Lulu had an utter blast together.

Leah has become a complete fish this summer and will swim for hours on end in any type of water.

 Friends for life
My only request on our trip to New England was to have some seafood so they took us to Brown's. We had steamers, fried lobster, shrimp, etc. It was a dream some true. Oh and it was BYOB, how fun.
Seth tried steamers or penis clams as I call them. He actually really liked them which is so bizarre to me.
 Friend Pyramid
On our second day we went to a local park and Leah found a fairy door.
 Caged
 Randomness
Nina asked what we wanted to do while we visited and I told her we just wanted to chill out, catch up and hang out. So the little girls decided that they wanted to paint naked, among other naked activities to follow.
 We love Rusty
 Naked Swimming
Seth was infatuated with Grace. If we couldn't find Seth, we knew he was wherever Grace was.
 Cocktails and Taro Cards

After many cocktails and too many mosquitoes this is what happened. Love these two.

We came home from NH just in time for Halloween in August at the marina. It is a yearly tradition that we never miss.

Another epic boat day with some super fun people.

 I needed some Sara time.

We found the neatest island on this particular day. It's call Six Point Town. It's our new favorite spot.

 We miss you Kristen Castana.
My grandparents can't drive outside of Lowville anymore so we picked them up and drove them to Clayton to their favorite restaurant, The Clipper. They ordered frogs legs and Genny Cream Ale and were happy as can be.

Every summer we spend one day in TI Park and this year the day was absolutely magical. Here's why...

 1. The weather was spectacular, hot, sunny and fabulous.

 2. Friends met us and we swam all afternoon and Leah even jumped off the dock into the river.
 3. There was a big wedding on the island that day and all of the guests were being transported by boat.
 4. We got to watch the bridal party prep.
 5. We became wedding crashers.

That same night we had friends over for a bonfire.
 Poor Leah, always with boys.

 Broke out the head lamp
The last week of vacation we had a pool party at mom's for the kids and their friends.
It was also the same day that Miss Sara was heading back to college so she stopped for hugs.

 1,2,3 JUMP
Such a fantastic group of boys.

The last weekend of August we headed to the beach at Black Pond for some last minute summer fun.

Then we stopped for ice cream for dinner.
Farewell summer vacation, you totally ROCKED.
