Happy 40th Anniversary!

We had a very special gathering at Roland's parents house last night. We were not only gathering for Thanksgiving (early) together, but we were most importantly gathering to celebrate Roland and Bonnie's 40th wedding Anniversary. 40 years is certainly something to celebrate especially in this day in age when many marriages do not last through the test of time. They certainly have lasted and will be able to celebrate many more wonderful occasions such as this. For once we were ALL there. No one was sick and everyone was ready to spend some quality time together as a family. I think I can speak for us all when I say that a wonderful time was had. The kids were fantastic too!
Sheryl and Jess made stuffed sweet and hot peppers and Big Ro tested out a HOT pepper. Boy was he brave. I thought even the sweet was a bit spicy, but yummy too!
First bite!
His reaction!
Brave enough to finish it off!
Let's just say that many glasses of wine were drank while we ate appetizers and taste tested the turkey!
Seth just loves his big cousin!
Leah loves her Daddy!
As the night came to a close we gave Roland and Bonnie their gift. Roland wrote a two page piece about their relationship then and now plus some facts about the year they were married. He did a fantastic job and many tears were shed.

We decided to have Sheryl read it aloud so everyone could hear it at once.
Great work Roland!
Then the big finale...their gift!
As an Anniversary/Christmas combo we are all sending them to Atlantic City for a 2 night stay!
They are very excited to get their gambling on and to get away together!
40 years is such a tribute and we thank you for setting such an amazing example that we hope to reach as well! We love you both very much!

Thank you all so much for such a wonderful Thanksgiving and also for celebrating our 40th Anniversary. Our gift was the best that we could ever ask for. It was such so nice to have everyone together and we had so much fun. The kids were great. They all play so good together. We want to thank you again and we love you all so much.
