Summer Recap AUGUST Edition

We continued the tradition of our "River Day" in August and we had Grandma Barb tag along this year. We walked over to TI Bridge, swam in TI Park and went to The Guzzle for ice cream.

RIP The Guzzle. I am so happy that we were able to have one last cone before tragedy struck. We can't wait until they rebuild, we plan to be one of the first customers in the new shop. So sad, what a loss.
We LOVE TI Park.
We spent oodles and oodles of time on our boat this August.
Leah pulled out one of Seth's teeth while on the boat this summer. So random.
I was able to have a wonderful night with some amazing ladies to bit farewell to our friend Johanna. Lots of laughs were had. Such a great night.
Best Night of the summer...SUP and Sip on the Black River with my friend Sara. Such a fantastic night. When I win the lottery I plan to buy myself a SUP.
My grandfather loves clams so I surprised he and my Gram and brought them clams on a random night in August. They were both thrilled.
The Girl Who Caught the Sun, great title for a book right?
We went to Seabreeze with the aunties in August. Such a great little park. We had tons of fun.
SURPRISE...While visiting the aunties it was also our anniversary so Roland surprised me with a night out. Drinks on the beach at a fun little bar right on the sand followed by dinner on the lake.

Later in the day on our anniversary we headed to the lake, rented SUPs from the marina and headed out. We later met up with some friends and had a fantastic evening. The kids were in heaven.

My aunt from MD came to town and we all went to lunch in Sackets. It is wonderful when we can get together especially since my gram is 86 and doesn't get around as well as she used to. We cherish the moments we can spend together.
We took a mini get-a-way to VT with Roland for a work trip. We took the opportunity to go to Ben & Jerry's and The Magic Hat brewery. They were both super fun and we learned a lot.
Halloween in August was extra fun this year. The kids got their faces painted and then is down poured so we drove the truck camp site to camp site. We laughed so hard that night. What a memory.
Seth had his favorite school buddies to Grandma Puccia's pool for a little party in August. He loved having his friends all together.
We got our passports in the mail. It only took 3 weeks. I was shocked.
I have been now named the social director of GES and my friends are already asking what adventures I'm planning for next summer. HA. We had a great day rafting despite the fact that the other raft that was with us completely tipped over dumping the entire group of people, paddles, etc. Thank god it wasn't us, but it was quite the interesting day.
My friend Julie turned 40 so we all went out to celebrate and SwAG was playing so we had a blast.

During the last week of vacation we had one last sleep over in Lowville with Gram and Gramp and we all watched The Wizard of Oz for the first time. Kids loved it.
August ROCKED.
I'll look for a few more pictures...
