July Recap ~ The Castana's Come to Visit from GE

We anxiously awaited the arrival of the Castana's for over a year and it seemed like their visit was over in the blink of an eye. We definitely didn't let any grass grow under our feet while they were here. We had a pool party with all of their old buddies from hockey, church school and preschool.
Leah, Caitlin and Linds all went to preschool together and also to Judi's.
Jacob's friends from Sherman and hockey.

On Saturday we headed to the Can-Am Parade in Sackets and as always it was such an amazing parade.
 The girls were even twinsies.

 Buddies new and old

On Saturday afternoon we headed to Old Forge and hiked Bald Mountain. It was the perfect hike for the kids and super fun with all of the boulders that we had to climb over.

The view from the top of the water tower was spectacular.

On Sunday we headed to the lake for a day on the boat.

Leah's first jump into the deep ever. She was SO proud of herself.
On Monday I took the kids and we did a playground hop. We went to four different playgrounds and I tired them out but good.
On Tuesday we headed to the river. We walked over the TI Bridge and spent some quality time in TI Park.

We jumped off the docks and swam in the freezing cold river. The kids loved it.

On Tuesday night we headed to Lowville for the fair parade and some family time.

Kristen was so excited to see my grandparents and they were equally excited to see her.

The parade was fabulous as always and over two hours long. The kids came home with a candy hangover and enough candy to last the rest of the year.
The next day we said "see you soon" to the Castana's, but only until that Sunday when I headed to PA with the kids to see their side of the family.
