August Recap

We did a TON in August and we opted outdoors even more in August then in July.
We started out the month with a big Watertown FC pool party at Coach Kelly's house. Let's just say that the boys were crazy wild and that's putting it mildly. They had tons of fun and Kelly and I definitely needed a cocktail by the end of the party.

Grandma Barb is always up for an adventure and lets the kids torture her.

We did tons of waterfall hikes this summer and this one was actually right in our backyard. It was called Whitaker Falls and it is located right outside of Lowville. We loved every minute of it. Can't wait to go back next summer.

We had tons of baby snuggle time while Chad and Lindsey were home. Baby Rowen is just the sweetest little guy. Can't wait to go visit them this winter.

 Moffett Day at the pool
Seth and some of his buddies from Mrs. Johnson's Class went to the movies this summer with Josh.
Annual River Day was beyond awesome this year. We picked a hot and sunny day and we all jumped into the river a ton.
So happy to have reconnected to my brother and his wife. We talk numerous times a week now and it makes me so happy that we are finally part of each others lives.
Zoe and Greg came to visit from LA this summer too.

Mom and Aunt Jody are always up for crazy adventures with the kids.
The men went on a kayaking trip to Old Forge while the moms and kids spent a day on the river.

Happy 15th Anniversary Getaway to Us.
We travelled to Rochester for a brewery tour, dinner on the lake, some spa treatments and some quality time together. It was a BLAST.

The kids gathered a bunch of buddies for a Nerf War and had so much fun. Watching them was so comical.
Girl Power

After talking about it for over a year we finally made it to Ausable Chasm and it was awesome. The Adventure Trail was beyond thrilling, challenging and Leah was such a ROCKSTAR. It was tough, but she overcame some serious fears and ended up loving it.

This was the toughest part and it was first. Tightrope over the chasm. Leah's little legs were shaking and I was sweating bullets watching her. Such a brave little 8 year old. Love her so much.
Seth thought it was easy....it was not. He loved it.
After the Adventure Trail we floated in the chasm on tubes. It was so relaxing and beautiful.

The next day we did some ADK waterfalls around the Lake Placid area and they were amazing.

There are NO words for this boy some days.

On the way home we stopped at Tail 'O the Pup for a late lunch/early dinner. The atmosphere was super fun, but the food was only so so.

I promised Leah a little girly pool party and she was in heaven with some of her buddies.

We took Gram and Gramp to the Clipper (their all time favorite restaurant) and they ate their faces off. They had three dozen clams and frogs legs. THEN, asked if we could stop for ice cream on the way home. HYSTERICAL.
Grandma Bonnie went to Alex Bay with us for the Pirate Invasion. It was such a fun day.
Even though we didn't put our boat in this season we were still able to go to "Halloween in August" and they kids had such a great time. It felt wonderful to be back at the marina for the night. We really missed it this summer.

We finally accomplished "The Cranberry Lake Waterfall Tour". It was tough to find them all, but we found 4 out of 5 waterfalls. There is SO much beauty right in our backyards.

We definitely needed a cocktail after hiking all those waterfalls.
Green Lakes State Park ~ Beach Day ~ Eclipse Day

We protected our eyes and it was AMAZING to watch.

To close out the summer did a Clayton Crawl with Pete and Erica.

On Sunday of Labor Day weekend we went to SYR and had lunch at a hibachi. It was so delish and fun.
