Gramp

Last night was one of the toughest nights of my life. In the two weeks since I last visited my grandparents my grandfather's hip has further deteriorated and he now uses a walker and had an incredibly difficult time just standing up and getting from point A to point B. It was heartbreaking to watch this strong vibrant man try to move and feel so helpless. He is still sharp as a tack, yet in so much pain. Every day is a gift and I plan to start spending as much time in Lowville as I can. I brought up dinner last night with the kids and tried to do any sort of house work I could while I was there. I plan to do the same thing next week and for as long as they need me. We love them to pieces.
