December 9th

Cody turned our milk pink and is chilling in our fridge for the day. Who is having more fun with this the kids or the adults...truly?
Have a wonderful day to you all.

The Adventures of our Elf...Cody Charlton

On Sunday morning the kids awoke to our elf being held hostage by some angry toy friends. It appears that they are angry by the fact that Cody brings the kids daily treats in their advent calendar so they are trying to get revenge on the poor little elf.

Sunday evening Roland decided that the elf was probably uncomfortable after being taped to the wall all day so they snuggled under the heated blanket.
Monday morning Cody left his toy friends some treats, BUT then...
He toilet papered our Christmas tree.
I think our elf needs a TIME OUT.
Happy Monday and have a wonderful week.

Festive Weekend in Review

Friday night we went downtown to the new and improved Watertown (night) Christmas Parade. It was really fun to see everything lit up, see local businesses booming and to feel extra festive for the evening.

Then we went to the Paddock Arcade and got a Tom & Jerry at Johnny Ds while the kids were in awe of the window display at Steve Weed Productions.

Saturday morning we split up. I took Leah to the library for the Elf Workshop and Roland took Seth to his first basketball game. Seth scored 20 points and his team won. Saturday night Seth had a soccer game and his team also won. To answer your question, YES we are insane for playing two sports each Saturday.
Sunday we got crafty and Leah was in her glory. We made some ornaments and baked. Leah's ideal day.
Then we Skyped our buddies in Germany for a bit.
Rocky ended the weekend with a special treat. We thought that his breath needed some freshening up.

Flash BACK Friday

I was cleaning out some files at work and found these random pictures in the file. I couldn't help but post them because they are literally the CUTEST pictures ever. They also made me tear up a little thinking how much the kids have grown and changed.

Stop Growing :(
Have a fantastic weekend and hug your kids a little extra, they grow too fast.

Cody our Elf is BACK

I have never seen our two kiddos as excited as they were on Sunday night knowing that their elf would return on December 1st. Seth was up and out of bed at 6am. I told him that from now on he has to stay in bed until at least 6:30am. The rest of the mornings this week his door had opened at exactly 6:30am, so funny.
Looks like Cody really liked his welcome back banner.

Being Festive

On Sunday after church the kids were SO excited to decorate the tree. They laid all of the ornaments on the floor to look at and couldn't wait to put them on the tree. Everything is starting to hit me that this will be our last Christmas in our house. It is very bittersweet.

Leah wants to do crafts or crafty activities all the time so Sunday afternoon we decorated our gingerbread house. The kids took turns and it turned out super cute.

Oh Christmas Tree, Oh Christmas Tree...

Saturday morning we loaded up the truck and headed to our favorite tree spot in Copenhagen to cut down the perfect tree. We found it, played in the snow, went on a horse drawn sleigh ride and then stopped at Stewart's for our traditional treats on the way home. Such a great way to start the holiday season.
On the way home we had a little mishap and the tree ended up being put in the truck with us. Roland and I laughed and Leah was freaked out. Ah the memories...
Later that day I went on a girls afternoon with one of my favorite people. We hit Starbucks, Old Navy and even got our ipad fixed finally. Such a great afternoon.
We finished off our day with a Christmas movie to start the holidays off right.

Thanksgiving 2014

 Thanksgiving completely rocked this year.
The kids are at amazing ages, everyone who came were in great moods, we made homemade Tom & Jerry's and Roland cooked the turkey perfectly. It was a picture perfect day.
Don't forget the turkey hat to make the day more festive.
A little karaoke in the living room.
We ended the day watching Frozen as a family.
Thank you to everyone who came, brought food and make the day truly amazing.

Turkey Run '14

It was snowy and it was chilly, but we got our butts out of bed and ran (I walked) in the Turkey Run again this year. It really is the best way to start out the Thanksgiving holiday and we truly enjoy it. Seth was also able to add onto his 56 miles for Mighty Milers and in his world every mile counts. Such a cute kid.

Soccer...A Family Sport

Last Wednesday night we had the opportunity to play a kids versus parents soccer game at the Y. Let me just say that we have a flipping blast. It was so fun to get out on the field and to see up close and personal how good of players our kids really are. We feel so blessed to be part of the Watertown FC soccer family and we have made some amazing friends this fall through it.

Weekend Recap

Last Friday  night we very excitedly headed to The Chrystal for our first Tom & Jerry's of the season. They were absolutely delicious and we really enjoyed starting the holiday season out right.
Saturday we headed up to Dry Hill for our first big ski day of the season. The kids were in heaven and had such a great day outside in the fresh air.

Saturday  night we went out for some bowling and drinks for Seth's soccer coaches 44th birthday. It was a fun night out with some of our new soccer friends.
Sunday afternoon was craft time at our house. Leah brought home another family craft project for kindergarten and she was so excited to get started. She LOVES crafts and will sit at the table for hours doing them.

 COMPLETE
That's a wrap for a very busy, but fun filled weekend.
I loved this sleepy moment while Leah was hugging Elsa.
Thanksgiving week here we come. Turkey is thawing, we have our second contractor meeting of the week tonight and we have a kids versus parent soccer game tomorrow. Let the fun begin.
