Please Help Me to Say a Prayer!

Last night we got some startling and a bit scary news. Ro's sister-in-law is due to have her baby on December 8th and has started leaking amniotic fluid, enough to put her in the hospital for observation and tests. They say you learn something new everyday and we indeed did. They have given her a shot of steroids to pump up the babies lungs in the event that they will need to deliver him early. The doc hopes that the tear will mend itself, but he is unsure at this time. This is a very scary time for Ro's brother and his wife and for us all. So if you are reading this please say a little prayer for them!

While we were at the hospital we were able to also visit baby Addyson and if you can believe it I FORGOT my camera AND she has MORE hair then Seth did. I thought he had a record amount of hair, but I was wrong, she has more!!! Rich and Lori are doing great and hoping to be able to come home today!

So we went from tears and crying to smiles and laughter on the very same floor of the hospital!

I also have a good fall recipe to share, it will fill you up and warm you up on a cool blustery night!

Homemade Stuffed Peppers

2-21/2 cuped cooked rice

2 lbs. ground beef or gound turkey cooked and drained

1 1/2-2 jar of spag sauce

6-8 peppers

Mix all together, add some salt pepper, and garlic to taste. This mixture should be enough to fill 8 good sized peppers. Cut tops off of the peppers and take out the insides. Drop in boiling water for 4 minutes, remove and drain. Fill in with mixture and bake for 25 minutes at 350. You can put more sauce on them after they are done and top with shredded cheese too!

Kitchen Update: There is no update, I am going to call the drywallers this evening to see where we are at. They said 3-4 weeks and it is 3 weeks today! Hopefully I'll have more to share tomorrow!

oh jen, i'm so sorry. i was so sad to read this, although i'm sure everything will work out fine in the end. it's great that she's under observation, and it's a miracle what science can do these days to protect the wee wee ones. send my love to roland, and of course i'll be thinking of everyone in the fam, esp. the big sister, who's probably scared and confused by this whole ordeal.

love you guys!
