We opted for a very small birthday gathering this year. Leah is super lucky to have so many wonderful friends, but we wanted to keep the festivities small this year. So she picked three friends to go to Get Air and then have a sleepover. It was a fantastic afternoon and overnight with these girlies.
When we got home from SYR the girls painted their nails.
Then we made "butter slime" AKA the messiest slime to make possible.
We also played a couple of games. The goal of this one was to find and eat three gummy worms at the bottom of a paper plate covered in whipped cream with only your mouth and face. NO HANDS. the girls had an absolute blast.
Before we knew it it was bedtime. The girls slept out in the living room.
Sunday night we celebrated with her actual cake. This year she opted for ice cream cake.
We also tricked her this morning by blocking her door. She was ALL smiles.
Our elf made his birthday appearance once again and brought her birthday shirt.
He also wrote her a letter.
New birthday shirt. I have saved each and every birthday shirt since she turned one. Love this tradition.

Heading out to dinner tonight and that's a wrap on the birthday festivities.
It's been an awesome 9th birthday.
