It is hard to believe that we made our way away from the ice storm at home and into 70 degree weather in NYC almost three weeks ago. We were so grateful to miss the ice storm and that it didn't hit NYC. We had a truly wonderful time in the city, the kids kept up, we all stayed together as a large group for a chunk of time and made the best memories. The girls started Sunday, the 22nd at The American Girl Store for breakfast with their Bitty Babies and a little shopping (Thank you Nana and Grandpa John for Leah's new baby outfit for Christmas)
Breakfast was fancy, but with definite kid flare. We had such a great time and it was a truly memorable experience. Now that Leah has a real American Girl doll (Santa brought one), she definitely wants to go back and bring her.
After breakfast we met up with the whole crew for some sight seeing in the city. We hit Rockefeller Center, the tree and skating rink, The Lego Store, Maybelline and then Macy's.
The girls even met Mrs. Claus.
Mid afternoon we split up and the moms took the little girls back to NJ while the rest of the crew went to see Newsies. Seth came home raving about it and he definitely wants to go back to the city for more shows. He loves his musicals.
