On Sunday we got up bright and early, packed up the car and could hardly contain our excitement as we left the country. It sounds so official, yet it is only a mere 3 hours away.
Customs: Leah's 1st trip to Canada and Seth's 2nd.
We headed downtown first to grab a bite to eat at Dave & Buster's.
With full bellies we headed to The Great Wolf Lodge for three days of water park fun.
I'm really not sure who had the most fun, the adults or the kids. There was SO much to do. We loved every single minute of it.
This is the main lobby. All of those animals are interactive. They talk and perform a show at story time every evening.
We got the Kid Kamp room so that the kids had their own space and a bunk bed. What fun it is to be a kid.
We spent all afternoon in the water park on the first day so we were exhausted and grabbed a pizza for dinner before starting a Quest and going to story time.
At the resort they have what is called the Magi Quest. It is a big scavenger hunt with magic wands. They give you a book with clues and you have to search for certain items on various floors of the hotel. It was SO FUN! We all loved it and can't wait to go back and complete the quests we didn't have time for.
There were all sorts of check points and the kids definitely got a ton of use out of their wands. The creator of this game is a genius.
By the time we left Seth was a Senior Magi, but we still have some unfinished quests.
Every evening at 8pm there is PJ story time in the main lobby. The animals put on a show and then one of the employees reads a couple of stories to all the kids. It was so much fun, we all loved it.
Noelle was tired so she enjoyed twirling Leah's hair since she didn't have her blankie.
