GIANT S'mores

I have yet to try one of the campfire s'mores because they are so flipping huge and they are super gooey!
Look at all of the gooey goodness!

Seriously Sticky!

Hysterical!

After our 4th of July boating trip Leah napped while I prepped for a delicious 4th of July meal.
Then we got back outside and enjoyed more of the wonderful weather that mother nature has been throwing our way. We set up the kiddie pool and hung out in the shade.
Leah is not a huge fan of slides so we were shocked when she actually tried this out. The shock on her face was priceless.

The grandma's took a spin in the convertible.

After three days of partying and boating we were all pretty tired so our bonfire was short lived this year.

I think everyone headed home before it actually got dark.

We did con the grandma's into some over sized s'mores though. Pics to come!

Happy 4th of July

What a wonderful weekend for boating, eating and spending time with special people.
We headed out bright and early on Monday and took in as much sun and water as we could until it was nap time for all of us.

Happy 4th of July!

Sunday Funday

Sunday started off a bit cloudy and ominous so we decided to head to the boat in the afternoon after Leah's nap. Late in the afternoon we also decided to call Lisa and Zeke and see if they were up for the lake challenge. They were super excited and away we went. We got pizza and headed out for an evening of food and swim.
The water was a bit choppy and is still chilly, but we all adjusted and the kids swam until they turned blue.

It was a great night filled with great friends.

2nd of July @ The Sweets

Saturday night The Sweets invited us over for a 2nd of July bash. The Sweets always throw killer parties so we were so excited to be able to attend.

It was finally warm enough so the kids took full advantage of the water slide and all things water related.

Leah is so different from Seth. She is much more laid back and likes to take it all in. She didn't spend much time in the water, but she tooled around the yard and had a blast.

Seth was thrilled to be surrounded by all of the girls.

Dessert was killer. The table was full of festive goodies.

The boys shot off some fireworks.

Then we did poppers, sparklers and other small fireworks out front.

Glow sticks are a must at The Sweets and the kids kept busy with them until we had to pry them away at 10:30pm. It was such a fantastic night!

Leah even slept with her glow stick.

Pizza Night on the Boat

Friday night I dragged my husband out of work a tad early and we headed to the boat for the first Friday pizza night of the season. We called The Shack, uncovered the boat, covered some naked bums and away we went.

The weather finally cooperated as well as our trusty old boat.

Patiently waiting for Mommy to walk back with the pizza.

Heading out the channel.

In Leah's words, "Num Num Mama!"

Roland and I couldn't decide which size pizza to get; either the 8 or the 12 slice. Roland said to just get the 12 and we would have leftovers on Saturday. Well, that wasn't the case because Seth ate 4 slices, Leah ate 3 slices, I ate 3 slices and Roland was left with 2. We laughed so hard as they kept shoveling them in.

First dip of the season was a bit chilly at first, but we all adapted.

After some swim time we hung out and watched the sun start to set.

Happy 18th Taylor

Taylor has been our babysitter since Seth was born and I have known her since she was in the 2nd grade so when we ran into her in Sackets on Friday we were so happy to be able to give her a big 18th birthday hug. Her mom (my friend Erin) was so creative and made up a picture scavenger hunt for she and her friends to do throughout the day. One of them was to find a cute boy and get their picture taken with him. Well, we were able to help her out with that and if you know our son (girl CRAZY), he was happy to help out.
On the way home Seth said, "Mom, I have dibs on Taylor!" Boy, are we in trouble.
Happy Birthday Taylor, we love you to pieces!

Biking Through Our Friday's

We started our biking Friday's right away this year and biked the Sackets loop on Friday. It was the perfect day, with warm breezes and sun. We stopped and chatted with some cows and even some reenactment soldiers too.

I was loading up the bikes, but my mom said that Seth asked the soldier all sorts of interesting questions.

Next week...either Cape Vincent or TI Park.
