Kidnastics Party

Saturday night Seth had his first "friends" party at Kidnastics and it was so much fun not only for the adults, but of course for the kids too! It was so fun to watch them all interact and to see how excited Seth was to be "special" for a day. I posted some videos yesterday, but here are a few pictures from the festivities.
Seth's cupcake tower in his favorite theme...Cars!
Cousins and Buddies
The weather cooperated so Lucy was able to come to the party!
Seth now owns just about every game for his age level and we had so much fun playing them all on Monday.
Thank you to everyone who helped make this party so special for Seth. He is truly lucky to have such wonderful friends and family in his life.

Happy Birthday Grandma!

We celebrated my Gram's birthday on Friday night at a little restaurant in Lowville called Jeb's. Leah stayed home and we took Seth. He felt very special being able to go and be with the grown ups.
We didn't plan it, but Seth and Daddy dressed almost exactly alike, plus they look alike so it was extra cute.
My mom surprised my Gram with a slice of cake and we all sang to her. She thought she would be able to enjoy it until...
...someone heard the word "cake" and came running. He hopped right up on her lap and they shared the cake. It was priceless!
One for me
One for YOU!

Gram, we hope you have a fabulous day today on your actual birthday and we love you!
Thank you to Dad and Sue for watching Leah Friday night as well. We appreciate it!

Getting There!

Leah is officially down to three bottles a day and is eating all table foods! She is growing so fast and we would like her to slow down! It is now less than 2 months until she turns 1. It is completely crazy!

Should We Be Worried?

These pictures were take about 4 weeks ago, but I just came across them once again and had to share them with the world. Whenever we go to our friends The Voss' house Seth loves to play dress up. He has absolutely no quams about dressing up in full on princess attire while sporting high heals. He thinks it is just about as fun as Christmas.

Later on in life he may has some issues with me posting these pics, but right now he thinks its great and I think that when he uses his imagination like this it is wonderful. He is such a special little guy!

Let the Birthday's Begin...

This coming Friday starts the winter family birthday extravaganza! This month we have my Grandma's birthday, Sue's birthday, Seth's birthday and Justin's birthday. Next month is my birthday, Brad's birthday and my Dad's 60th birthday. (Sorry Dad I had to add that one since it is pretty special) Then in early March we will celebrate Leah's 1st birthday. Needless to say we will be partying for the next two months and we are very excited about all of the fun activities we have going on. It seems as if every weekend has something exciting going on.

This Friday we will head to Lowville to celebrate my Gram's birthday by going out to dinner. Saturday we are having Seth's "friends" party. This was the first year that he has asked to have his friends at his birthday party and there was no way I was having ten 4 year olds running around my house so instead we will head to Kidnastics and they can run and play. He is very excited!

Next Friday we will host a "grandparents" dinner for Seth at our house. It will be a fun way for Seth to see all three sets of Grandparents and Great Grandparents for his birthday. Then on his actual birthday as if the two previous parties aren't enough, we will try to go skiing in the morning and then take Seth to Texas Roadhouse and for our annual photo booth picture in the evening. WOW, we are making his 4th birthday very memorable!

The weekend of January 30th we will celebrate Justin's birthday by having dinner as a family and then heading to Joe's to celebrate some more after the kids are safely tucked in bed.

So basically for the next three weekends we will be partying and I haven't even gotten into February, that is a whole separate post when the time comes!

Last years photo booth picture! He has changed so much!

2nd Lesson

It finally warmed up a little yesterday and we were able to take Seth up for his second lesson. He had been asking all weekend to go, but it was frigid. Yesterday the sun came out and we were off.

The Dickinson family was at Dry Hill and Marra was checking Leah out, it was priceless!

She was probably thinking that Leah was her size, but couldn't understand why she wasn't walking around like she was.

Roland skied during Seth's lesson and Leah and I socialized.

We requested Taylor again and Seth did great!

We came in to warm up and chat with everyone.

Seth was starving after his lesson and ate everything we packed and then some. Fresh air and exercise does a body good.

Seth's instructor said that he is good to go and that Roland and I can put him on the harness now. I think we may need remedial harness classes, but we are excited and can't wait to get back out there with him. We are so happy that Seth loves skiing so much and in a couple of years we will get Miss Leah out there. What fun we will have!

1st Trip to Stefano's

When Seth was almost one we took him to Stefano's. At that time he was walking and he flirted with some older ladies in a booth, it was completely priceless. So we couldn't wait to have the opportunity to take Leah to our favorite restaurant as well.
This is Seth at 11 months old; his first time at Stefano's.
Well, Leah wasn't walking around like Seth was at that age, but she enjoyed Stefano's and ate half a piece of pizza.
Her brother one upped her and ate whole slice...
...but, not before he flirted endlessly with Justin's girlfriend Joan.
Poppy and Grandma came with us and even treated. Thank you!
Daddy and his girl with a FULL Stefano's belly!

Snow Bunnies

Check out our cute snow bunnies!!!Seth pulled her about 25 feet and said, "Here Mama you can have a turn!"
They took killer naps after this outing!

HE LOVES IT!

The time has finally come when Seth has been old enough, it has been warm enough outside and he has wanted to learn to ski. Last Wednesday we took Leah to Pat's and the three of us went skiing. Seth took a one hour lesson and Roland and I skied and acted like stalkerish paparazzi parents. Roland and I had an absolute blast. We haven't skied since before Seth was born, but it was just like riding a bike and we didn't fall once. Seth wasn't nervous at all and said he can't wait to go again. We plan to go this Saturday if it is warm enough.
We bought Seth skis, boots and a helmet at the swap shop so he is all set for the whole season.
Photo op with Daddy as we wait for his instructor.
Yes, I was THAT Mom who took pics throughout the whole hour, well in between runs.
We plan to request this instructor again this weekend, he was great!

By the end the harness was off and he was learning to turn.
By the end of the hour Seth was all rosy cheeked and HUNGRY!
It was such a wonderful experience and we are thrilled that he loves it so much. Ski vacations are in our future!

Happy New Year

As we get older we would much rather stay in on New Year's Eve and hang out with our kids instead of fighting the crowds. Give us a few years and we will be right back out there, but for now we are more than happy staying home. This year we celebrated with our close friends The Castana's since they won't be here to celebrate with us next year. We are enjoying every memory we can make while they are here. The boys played with all of the new Christmas toys, the adults ate and drank and the babies checked each other out.
Leah really wants Lindsey to get moving and grow so she can play with her.CHEERS!
I have the New Year's spirit!
Tell me you don't want to squeeze these cheeks??!!
Mom's can still have fun!
Don't forget about the Dad's too!
This photo looks really bad because Leah has a drum stick in her mouth, but the point was that she is standing up without any help and she stood like this for at least 4 minutes.
It was a great night with GREAT friends!
