Long Overdue

I'm not quite sure where this week went to, but it is almost over and there is no sign of it slowing down anytime soon. The good news is that I don't have to cook a meal until next Monday. Here's the agenda: Tonight we are headed to my Dad's for a fish fry, Friday night we have been invited to a new friends home for a cook out/interview strategy session, Saturday we are going to the General Brown Days, and Sunday we have an anniversary party and our dinner group. AHHHH! Fun, but busy!
To back up a bit, we had an amazing Memorial Day weekend. Saturday night we had a family cookout and it was so much fun. Here are some pics from it!

Who says you need to go camping to enjoy a campfire,

just come and visit our backyard!

There were many many more pics, but I just don't have the time to insert them all. As you could see, we had a ton of fun and look forward to many more cookouts throughout the summer!

Milestones

Last night was an extremely exciting yet nervous night for me. We took Seth for his first haircut against Ro's better judgement. Roland really wanted to let his hair be, but I was sick of the messy mullet.
We bribed him big time in order to get the job done! Our brand new clean cut all american boy!

Summer jammies, a new hair do and clean teeth!

Happy Hump Day to all! Enjoy this beautiful weather!
Oh, Happy BELATED Birthday to Grace (4) AND Nathan (2)!

Let the Good Times Roll...

This post is a little late to talk about the weekend, but I added a few previous video's to tide you over. We had an amazing weekend full of spring goodness. We actually caught ourselves coming and going on Saturday. We went from one event to the next and Seth never actually napped in his own crib the entire day. We started by joining Team Pepsi in the Cystic Fibrosis walk in Sackets and we are proud to announce that Team Pepsi raised $20,000 and overall for all teams $48,000 was raised. It was a wonderful feeling to be part of such a worthy cause.

Our tired rider way past nap time!

After the CF Walk we headed home to refuel and then drove up to Lowville to the St. Peter's Festival where Seth rode on the kiddy rides for the very first time and was not scared one bit. He was in love! My grandparents were so funny, I went up to get some tickets for Seth for the rides and they just about pushed me over to pay for them. Mind you the tickets cost 90 cents each. I said to my Gram, "I think I can afford $3.60, but noooooo they wouldn't have it". We were very appreciative!

By the time we got home on Saturday night I was in no mood to cook dinner so we headed to Wendy's for Seth's regular! Sunday was much calmer, we grocery shopped, napped, and picked up Daddy's new truck. Yes, new truck! We finally traded the Volvo AND Jeep for a 4-door Chevy Colorado and Daddy is in love! Pics to come! Now we are onto the week. Last night we had Justin and Jaime for dinner and play time. Tonight we are headed for Seth's 1st official haircut at the salon. I can't take it anymore, the mullet has to go! Say a little prayer that he sits still with minimal crying!

Fair Fun!

Just a few clips from Seth's 1st carnival today. He and I went with my grandparents and had a wonderful afternoon. Seth isn't afraid of anything AND he likes shish kabobs!

We hope that you are having as much fun this weekend as we are. I have tons more pics to share, but Seth has gone to bed and I'm exhausted from our crazy fun day!

Spring Fever

Let's see where so I start? This past Friday my mom and I went on our annual shoping trip to the outlets. We were disappointed in the selection of clothes, but we still had a blast and we shopped all morning, afternoon and into the evening. I think I came home with more clothes for Seth, but I managed to get a few new pieces of clothing and my very first pair of Crocs. I love love love them and they are super comfy!

Saturday Seth, Ro and I went to Lexy's birthday party at the zoo. What a great place for a party and Seth was in heaven. It was a combo of his favorite things; kids, pizza, cake and animals. What more could he have asked for?

Seth's new word after the party was "turtle"! It is so cute! Saturday night we had my dad and Sue for dinner and had an excellent meal with great company. We couldn't remember the last time that they came over for dinner so it was a nice treat!

Mother's Day was wonderful. We got up and went to church, brunch at the Carriage House and then my 80 year old Gramp had us all for dinner and he cooked a feast. We had such a great afternoon outside in the sun.

Last night we had a possible new vehicle prospect that ended up not working out, but we were able to visit with Lexy and Luke for a little bit. Seth freaked when he saw me hold Luke. I've held babies around him before, but last night there was no sharing Mommy!

Out There

Sorry for the lack of posts this week, there aren't any real excuses except there hasn't been much to write about. Let me see if I can even remember what the week has been like...
Monday: blur
Tuesday: Dinner and a powerwalk and gossip session with Katie, too fun!
Wednesday: Shopping trip to Target with Mom and of course I spent $80 as always, where the heck does that money go???
Today: Booking the hotel after dinner tonight with Tom for DC in June.
Tomorrow: Going shopping to the outlets with Mom! Shopping Therapy here we come. I have been saving my b-day money since Feb and it is about burning a hole in my purse. I'm ready to spend!
Saturday: Lexy's b-day party at the zoo, Seth's first trip to the zoo!
Sunday: Mother's Day festivities which will include church, brunch, and an afternoon with the family in Lowville

Oh, we gave Seth pudding for the first time last night and you would have thought we gave him a million dollars, he was in heaven until it was gone and he screamed/cried actual tears.

A bouquet from my Gramp, it made the house smell so great!

Will Walk & Eat For a Good Cause

We had quite a busy weekend between our garage sale, date night, The Sun Walk and The Cystic Fibrosis dinner! Let's backtrack a bit..

Friday Night:

Ro cooked the most DELICIOUS london broil on the grill, it was truly a masterpiece!

SaturDAY:

Our garage sale was a huge success, I guess the old saying "One mans trash is another mans treasure" held true because we unloaded a ton of stuff. We got rid of our old recliner, old computer and endless knick knacks totalling $375 in vacation money! Look out DC and Lake George!

Saturday Night AKA Date Night:

We went to our favorite restaurant that had just opened for the season and we PIGGED out! We ate very little throughout the day so we were ready to eat our hearts out. I usually get the same entree, but I thought I'd be different and boy was I glad that I tried something new. I tried something called Chicken in the Harbor, it was lightly breaded and thin chicken breasts cooked with bacon, scallions, muchrooms and spinach in a light creamy sauce. It was to die for and I can't wait to go back and get it again! Ro had the fried seafood platter and the breading was light and so good! We had soup, salad, our meals AND we brought hom dessert. I'd say it was a successful date night!

Sunday:

We got up and grocery shopped early because we knew the afternoon would be jammed packed. We headed to the Melanoma Walk about 12:30pm. It was a huge success and Seth was loving all the people. From there we headed to the Pepsi sponsored spaghetti dinner for Cystic Fibrosis, which was also a huge success and I even won a free NYS Inspection which I need, I haven't driven my car in a few days because I let it go and now I need one. Perfect timing for that win!

Ro worked so hard for that dinner and we were so glad that our family came out to support him. Gram and Gramp came down, Mom andTom and his parents all made the dinner and helped to keep Seth busy!

Lists

I am always feeling like I have a million lists in my head. Grocery lists, housework lists, errands lists, birthdays, anniversaries, work planning lists and on and on and on... So today I thought I'd run through my thankful list.

One year ago...

Just one year ago today I went back to work for the 1st time since Mr. Seth was born. It is so crazy to think that Seth has been going to the sitters for one year and that he is in fact 15 months old now. They say times flies and at the time when things are crazy and hectic and new you think that the clock will never move. Now you look back and wonder where did the time go?

Seth sent Pat flowers today to say Thank You to her for taking such wonderful care of him for the past year and teaching him so many things. We are truly fortunate to have such a wonderful sitter in our lives.

In other news... we are BOTTLE FREE in the Charlton Houshold!!! No more bottles for Seth. Instead of a bottle at bedtime we have a cup of milk and a little snack. The adjustment is going pretty well. No major fits!

Also, Daddy starts golf tonight so we will start Seth and Mommy Tuesday's! Tonight we have no major plans. Just dinner and playing outside if the rain holds off!
