Tiny Part

Seth and his friend Jacob were asked to partake in a small role in the upcoming musical at WHS. They will take turns being Young Shrek. We were thrilled to be asked and Seth is up for the task. He even gets to dance in the last scene. From now until next week we need to practice walking slow, looking sad and waving. I think Seth can handle that.

Vacation Finale

We might need a support group shortly...we watch all SU basketball games and the kids have their own game day rituals now. They seriously crack us up. We may actually bleed orange for real. The other night I had a stress headache from watching the game. It's very comical actually.
The last weekend of vacation the girlies had their first sleepover and surprisingly they slept all night and even slept until 7am. You can't beat that. They loved it. Making memories for sure.

Vacation Recap Day 5

When we came home from Sheryl's I decided that I needed to start an early spring home improvement so I painted the awful chipped and faded trim in the front toy room. During all the chaos Rocky decided to get snuggly inside the kids fold out tunnel. He layed in that thing for two days while I finished.
On Wednesday we loaded up the kids and took them to lunch with Gram and Gramp in Lowville and then to Maple Ridge tubing. It was the perfect temperature for an entire day outdoors and we all had tons of laughs.

Vacation Recap Days 2-4

The kids and I loaded up on Sunday of break and headed to visit Sheryl, Rachel, Bailey and their new home. We had a fantastic time. Leah loved taking a soak in their jet tub. She even almost overflowed it.
We tried a brand new place called Sky Zone. I really don't know who had more fun the kids or the adults. The only difference was that the adults were definitely sore the new day.

 Our sky socks

Seth played dodge ball, basketball and just jumped.
 Leah was a jump-a-holic
Seth would have stayed the ENTIRE day just to practice his dunking skills.
A great day at Sky Zone. Thanks Sheryl and Rachel.

Vacation Recap Day 1

Way back on our first day of Winter Break we planned to split up for the day. Seth, Roland and our new skiing cousin Lexy went skiing together while Leah and I travelled to Lowville to have a sleep over with Gram and Gramp.
Leah and Great Gram colored and watched Sleeping Beauty while Gramp and I watched the SU game and ate his world famous popcorn. It was a definite win win.
Leah asked for more butter this time and I think he put an entire stick on it, it certainly was buttery.

Farewell Camelback Mountain...until next year when we return AND your new indoor water park opens. We can't wait.

Mountain Coaster

I have a HUGE love of roller coasters so when we saw on the Camelback website that they had a mountain coaster I knew I had to try it. Luckily, we were all able to go and we could double up and go together. It was the most fun experience. You were able to control the speed all on your own and it was so neat to be on a roller coaster in the middle of the mountain.
 Seth laughed while I screamed.

Leah had no fear and loved it too.

Happy 36th

This year instead of gifts I decided I wanted us to take a mini vacation on my birthday weekend. Since Rocky has been sick for so long we haven't been able to take many trips, but we decided that from now on we are spending the money and not letting life pass us by. We love Rocky, but you can't stay home all the time for him. We couldn't decide where to go, but then remembered passing Camelback Mountain on our way to NYC this December. We did some research and decided it was the perfect destination. The kids were super excited and so were we. BIG mountain here we come.
We skied for ten hours (the kids and Ro skied for ten hours), but I had to take a rest for a bit in the afternoon. My stamina was shot from being sick for so long. The kids were able to go on numerous quad chair lifts, three person chair lifts and regular two person lifts. They loved them all.
We were able to meet up with The Castana's too. They travelled to Kristen's parents for the weekend and met up with us on Saturday to ski.
Leah never once said she was tired, hungry, nothing. She skied every trail including the terrain park and loved every minute of it.

Thank you family for my wonderful birthday weekend, it was fantastic.

Grateful

It's still a day until my birthday, but I have so much to be grateful for already. I am so grateful to work with some truly amazing women. This school year has been pretty crappy and if it wasn't for a handful of wonderful women in my building I would be lost. Today I have been showered with love here at school; little treats, cards, texts and just tons of smiles. It truly is the little things in life that matter most. My family has also been so wonderful. Cards, flowers and birthday signs decorate my house and it makes me stop and truly appreciate the wonderful people in my life.
We set off for a weekend adventure away this afternoon and I'm thrilled. I can't wait to step outside of the snow globe we currently live in and see someplace new. The truck is packed, the family is home and we set off as soon as I pull into the driveway.
I am truly grateful.

Besties

Leah and Lindsey are the best of friends. They fight like sisters, but they make up like true friends and they are the cutest thing to watch. They are so lucky to have this special bond that they will have for the rest of their lives; even through great distance. :(
This whole matchy outfit thing wasn't even planned, but the girls got the biggest kick out of it.
Thank you for the lollies John Bud, the girls loved them.

Orange Spirit

Saturday night we headed to Lowville to celebrate Seth's birthday with Great Gram and Gramp and to watch the BIG SU game together as a family. I think we may have a slight problem when it comes to SU and the Orangemen, a slight obsession where they are concerned. We have SO much SU apparel that it is crazy. The game was totally amazing and we almost lost our voices from screaming at the TV so much. Thank goodness SU won.

Seth was absolutely thrilled with his gifties from Gram and Gramp. I was excited that they bought him new swim trunks and flops since we are going away this weekend and he will need them.
What a good sport, playing Barbie's with Bean.
Seth was calm at the beginning of the game, but was as close to the TV as he could get by the end.
