Priceless Moments

What could be better than a family dinner followed for a game of basketball, a topless Leah riding her bike and then popcorn and a movie with Justin and Joan? Nothing...we love our family time.

This summer ROCKS!

Water Safari

We took the boys to Enchanted Forest for our traditional "Boys Day" this past Monday. A great BIG thank you to Poppy Puccia for the free tickets once again. We truly appreciate it and we had an incredible time. We decided to switch it up and we did water rides first. The boys were tall enough for every single ride and we had so many laughs trying everything out together.

While the boys played on some smalled slides Kristen and I were able to get some sun and chill out a bit.

At the end of the day we did some dry rides, walked through the forest and had a treat. It was a perfect day with our wonderful boys. The girlies hung out with Bethany and had an equally great day together.

Lewis County Fair Parade '12

Our favorite week of the year came and went, but we enjoyed it to the fullest. We grabbed our crew and enjoyed the first big parade of the summer...The Lewis County Fair Parade.
It was a super duper hot night, but thank goodness by the time the parade started it had cooled down and we all had such a great time.

The girlies were able to ride downtown in the wagon and thank heavens for Lee who pulled them, their combined weight is about 90lbs.
We savor these memories with my grandparents each and every year. They are now 86 and 84.
We had a total of 20 people with us this year. Thank goodness my grandparents reserve seats for us early in the day.
Uncle J had the night off too so we were thrilled he and Joan could be with us all.

It's Been Awhile...

It has been such a busy and fun filled summer so far that I haven't taken the time to blog. Here are a few dozen pictures of what we have been up to in the last two weeks. Swimming at Grandma and Poppy's has recently taken a turn and the kids insist on swimming in the buff so this is often what you might see if you stop by while the kids are swimming.
Seth had been dying to have another lemonade stand since he made $87 at our garage sale. He wrangled his best bud to help him and they raked in $30 in about ninety minutes. They had a blast and of course some of their best customers included family to just happened to stop by.

We planned an adult night out after a very long and hot week. It came at the perfect time and we tried Channelside in Clayton. We had the BEST night which included two bottles of wine, many familiar faces in Clayton and tons of laughs.

Last Saturday was one of our favorite parades of the season, the Can-Am parade in Sackets. We met up with The Castana's and The Sweet's and the kids had a great time together.

Saturday afternoon we headed to the lake for a day of water sports that included swimming, boating, jet skiing and tubing. It was such a blast that we didn't want the day to end. A great big thank you to Kristen and Lee for letting me drive their new jet ski, it was sooooo much fun!

I have many more pictures and activities to share so stay tuned...

Traditions

We took the kids for a trip to Oswego for the day this week, attempted from letterboxes, went to OSU campus and ate at Rudy's. Justin and Joan joined us which was extra fun too! First we attempted to find a letterbox in St. Paul's Cemetery. It had great clues and it was a beautiful spot, but we couldn't find it and we were disappointed. The second box we attempted to find was in a rest area in Oswego and it was missing as well. Our track record this summer isn't looking too great.
We took everyone for a mini tour of campus and to the bookstore where Seth asked for an OSU football that he has played with nonstop. I bought myself and alumni sticker and we toured the beautiful new building a bit.
Last, but not least we stopped at Rudy's for an amazing lunch outside on the lake and they some rock skipping by the water. We are so happy everyone was up for the adventure this year and look forward to our trips down memory lane.
Seth could have stayed here all day skipping rocks, he loved it.
Thanks for joining us Justin and Joan and of course Grammy P too.

Congratulations Dayna and Jw

My sister Dayna had a beautiful day to renew her vows in front of family and friends in Sackets Harbor. It was hotter than blazes in the city, but on the lake the breeze was perfect and the day turned out to be so much fun reconnecting with family, having some cocktails and enjoying all that a wedding brings. Plus, it is always fun to get dressed up.
The entire day I couldn't help but think back to my own wedding and I can't believe that it has been ten years since I walked down the aisle, had a father/daughter dance and danced the night away with all of our closest friends  and family.
Congratulations Mr. and Mrs. Jw Johnson!

Happy Birthday Papa Charlton

Last Friday night we invited The Charlton's and The Puccia's out on the boat for an evening of pizza, swimming and tubing. It was also Papa Charlton's birthday and the first time they had been on our boat. They aren't big boat people and can't swim, but they had a fantastic evening with us all and I think they might secretly like the boat now too.
There is nothing like Pizza Shack pizza on a hot night in our swim suits on the lake.

We even got Poppy Puccia in the tube for the first time and he loved it.
We ended the evening with the most beautiful sunset.

LG: The Finale

The very last day in LG was super duper hot so we decided to grab a quick breakfast and let the boys mini golf while Leah and I shopped a bit. The boys had a blast at Goony Golf and Leah and I enjoyed some A/C.

I remember going to Goony Golf as a kid and loving it. So happy that we can pass on yet another tradition.
My hot and sweaty boys.
Farewell LG, we had a fantastic time and we will be back soon.

LG: Day 3 (Evening)

We wanted to make the most of our last evening in LG so we went to another restaurant right on the lake and this one was fantastic. The view, food and company was great. We would definitely go back to this restaurant.
Leah wanted me to try on her glasses, they don't quite fit, but made for a great silly pic.
They look much better on Leah.
 Boys and their shots.
Seth begged to try the bumper boats and Leah as well....until she got in the boat and realized that she was getting completely soaked. She wanted out, it was hysterical.
Frankie was out in from the the haunted wax museum so the kids were thrilled to meet him.
So were my mom and Justin. When Justin and I were kids we LOVED going in that haunted museum. There was one year that Justin was so scared that I ended up carrying him on my back.
