Just took Seth to see Tangled at the Lowville Town Hall Theatre with my Mom and Grandma. What a fantastic movie in such a beautiful old fashioned theatre. Such a fun evening! The rest of the week is going to be filled with play dates, date night, skiing and party prep for NYE! Bring it on!

Christmas at The Charlton's

Since we were on such a successful roll with all of the holiday festivities we headed to our final holiday celebration on Sunday. We had such a great time. We laughed, opened tons of gifts, ate and even danced. It was great to all be together.
The kids anxiously awaited as Aunt Sheryl played the role of Santa.
When Leah heard her name she was up and ready to tear open her gifts.
She even got her very first American Girl Bitty Baby Doll from Aunt Krista and Uncle Brad.
Aunt Jess and Aunt Sheryl got her some clothes. My favorite was the pink and brown (of course) sweater with a brown vest. LOVE IT!
Luke, the peanut was about the size of the trash bag so we loaded him right up in it!
A rare moment as Leah sat with Grandma.
We danced around the living room to Sugarland's new song. Yes, Seth is shirtless. There was a wine spilling incident so he decided to take his shirt off while it dried.
Leah didn't want to miss out on the dancing.
Jess decided she wanted to try being a pin cushion.
Thank you to Bonnie and Roland, Mom and Dad, Grandma and Papa for a wonderful evening and for all of the generous gifts!

Christmas in Lowville

As tradition would have it we headed to Lowville for Christmas in the afternoon. As the years pass it gets a little sadder each year as my grandparents get older. We don't know how many years we have left as our family of 16 so we are making the most of the time we have left and we really had a fantastic time with everyone this year. Whiskey sours were drank, lots of laughter was had and a great meal was eaten, but most importantly a day spent with amazing family was had. The misfit tree with many many gifts under it!

Leah was very excited when Poppy got there!
My Gramp AKA the wrapping paper collector!
Leah got the 3 in 1 Zebra Scooter from my Grandparents and she LOVES it!

Seth got a Trio Block set.
Leah was feeling extra lovey!
Gram got a wine basket.
The yearly "cousins" pic!
Cousins plus the kiddos!
The best family a girl could ever ask for!
Christmas was AMAZING this year!
Stay tuned for pics from The Charlton Christmas too!

Christmas Morning

We had what you might call a "situation" regarding a certain 4 year olds excitement on Christmas that lead to little to no sleep for he and his parents. Seth went to bed about 9:30 pm and could hardly contain his excitement which lead to him coming into our room at 2:30am, 4am, 6am and finally 7am! YEAH not so fun for said parents. Needless to say he was thrilled when the real time for presents finally came along.
Leah was hysterical as she would run around from present to present and say WOW!
Checking out her stocking.
Both kids loved helping any and everyone open gifts.

Leah got a princess tent and Papa Charlton even got in it with her!

Christmas Eve Pre-Church

We had Mom, Tom and Justin over for appetizers and presents before church on Christmas Eve. Seth was beside himself excited to open some presents that he could hardly contain himself. He scoped out all of the presents that said SETH and knew exactly what he wanted.
Uncle Justin got him a giant 3D dinosaur book!
Leah got right into handing out gifts.
Seth not only opened his own gifts, but pretty much wouldn't let anyone open their own gifts either.
He was thrilled when Grandma and Poppy bought him a trumpet, saxophone and clarinet.
Uncle Justin bought Leah a farting book. Yes, that's what I said a farting book. If you know my brother then you won't think anything of it. If you are ever having a bad day I can totally let you borrow it, it is pretty funny!
We love you Uncle J!
Merry Christmas Eve!

Christmas With My Dad

Thursday night we started the holiday festivities by having my Dad and Sue over for dinner and presents. We haven't seen them since October so the kids were very excited.

We got my Dad a Cabela's gift card so he can get any hunting or fishing items he might need.
He in turn bought Seth the Cabela's Big Game Hunter game for the Wii.
All three boys were very excited to shoot some critters.
Seth and Grandpa watched while Ro learned the ropes of the game.
It didn't take long for my Dad to get right into it since he is a natural hunter. He even told us some stories about a moose hunting trip he went on a few years back.

Upon looking at my Grandma's Christmas tree you are probably thinking that it is just about perfect. Well, today as I sat to the side of it and I had to take a double take and then burst out into laughter because the below picture is what I saw...
The whole back side is completely bare and just utterly funny looking. We all had quite a chuckle as we discussed this odd tree! Then we decided that trees of all shapes and sizes need love too!

Christmas came a little bit early for us this year. Roland and I went back to SYR yesterday for a full day of scans and doctor appointments with the best end result ever...Roland's chest and abdomen are clear and we do not have to return for three months! We are both breathing a sigh of relief and are so very very grateful for his clean bill of health. It has such a roller coaster of a fall for us and we are looking on to a much more positive and healthy filled 2011. Thank you all for your love and support over the past three months. We couldn't have done it without you!

Just a little reminder to all the men out there...make sure to check yourself over "down there" you just can't be too careful and Roland is living proof! Don't gamble with your life and your health!

We head back to SYR tomorrow for another scan.

Our Christmas wish is for Ro to be totally clear and to be put on the surveillance list. We hope Santa grants our wish!
