45 Days

Not too much to report. It is still winter and there is still snow and we are all still getting over our colds. BUT, the good news is that we only have 45 days until our Florida trip! I know this may seem like a long time, but with St. Patty's Day, Easter and hopefully spring approaching I think the time will fly by. I also only have 2 days until my trip to NYC with Justin. I am getting very excited about the trip too. I got a great email from my cousin Chris and he seems super excited so now I just have to pack. Keep your fingers crossed that we are able to get Grease tickets!

I do feel a bit sad to be leaving Seth and Ro behind, but I think they will have a great weekend together doing their boy things.

Nothing else to report. I picked up our taxes yesterday and mailed them out this morning. Florida money will be on its way!

Wii Game Night

We had a giant playdate/Wii party on Saturday night. The kids played, danced and ate while the adults tried to play Wii around them. It actually was a great evening. Having 6 kids running around and toys EVERYWHERE was a challenge for me, but you'd all be proud I was very mellow and just enjoyed the company. I can't wait for the summer to just have the kids be able to run all around the backyard and the adults can kick back on the deck.

The following videos are of the kids dancing to Laurie Berkner and then to Guitar Hero...

They have the best little moves don't they?

They can even rock out to Guitar Hero!

Vacation is over and back to work until this Friday when I am off (thanks to the hubs) to NYC for the weekend with Justin! Watch out NYC here we come!

Happy Birthday Grandpa

Happy Birthday Grandpa B!

We hope that you are enjoying your time in Florida, fishing, golfing and soaking up all the sun you can! We will call you later tonight.

Indoor Playground

My friend Kristen and her son Jacob took Seth and I to the indoor playground on Drum today and the boys played for 2 straight hours. It was so great to be able to let Seth run his heart out and play with other kids. It is the perfect place for 2 year olds. After the boys tired themselves out we took them to Wendy's and then for very long naps.

Tonight we are going out for a couple of hours to wish our friend and fellow Pepsi alum a happy 40th birthday! Tomorrow night we are having Wii party night here at our house. All the adults playing the Wii and the all kiddies just playing together. It should be GREAT! Pics to come!

Kidnastics

My friend Kristen invited Seth and I and Sarah and Morgin to try out Kidnastics and it was amazing!! Seth was in his element and it felt so good to let him run and play. The owner said she is considering adding a Saturday class so I am super excited!
This morning we made a trip to the docs for Seth's 2 year checkup and low and behold, he has an ear infection. So now we are on some antibiotics and we will be on the road to a full recovery. We were on a lucky streak, it had been since October since Seth was sick, but we'll get through it.
This afternoon if the weather holds out we are going to have dinner in Lowville with Gram and Gramp! Wish us luck!

RIP

My Great Aunt Regina Gray passed away this morning after a whirlwind battle with pancreatic cancer. She was only diagnosed one month ago, but lost the fight. My thoughts and prayers are with my family and especially with my Grandma today as she lost her only sister. Life can be short so live it to the fullest each and every day!

We love you Aunt Regina and you will be very missed!

Videos from the Weekend

Just a few videos from the weekend for all of you video fans!

Not too much to report. We just tried to keep busy this weekend because of the crazy wind and cold temps. We went to Velocity with some friends on Saturday and took a drive on Sunday. Today Seth and I are feeling a little under the weather so we are laying low.

Our son the Wii champ!

Thoughts

No time to write right now, but I had to upload this pic and get your thoughts. This is what my hubs ate on Friday night. THOUGHTS??!! Will tell more about the weekend later!

Stuck in the Snow

I carpool with two others girls and they are both going off to somewhere warm for vacation. Sue and her family left for Florida on Thursday and Julie and her hubs are off to Jamaica on Saturday. I am stuck here in the snow for 58 more days. Why didn't I book our trip during this break I ask myself??? Well, the one main reason was that the tickets were an arm and a leg more, BUT looking back I wish I had spent the extra money. Oh well...

Enough of my wining though. Seth and I have BIG plans for the week. We aren't sitting around the house all day. Here is our itinerary for the week, now don't drool all of you people sitting in warm areas.

Tonight: Dinner at Mom & Tom's
Saturday: Playdate with Sophia at Velocity
Sunday: No plans
Monday: Playdate at Storm's house
Tuesday: Kidnastics
Wednesday: 2 year check and dinner at Great Gram and Gramp's
Thursday: Day at Pat's because I have to go to SYR for a dermotologist appt.
Friday: Indoor Playground on Fort Drum with Jacob

See we are keeping busy despite the snowy cold!

Please send some positive vibes to our friends the Voss' today. This has been the week from hell for them. They just moved into a new home right around the corner from us. In the last two weeks their upstairs tub leaked down through their kitchen, their daughter caught the croup and hasn't slept in many nights resulting in no sleep for anyone else and their furnace went up in the middle of the night last night. Their home warranty company also thinks it isn't a big problem. They desperately need some positive energy headed their way.

In My Next 30 Years...

I LOVE the Tim McGraw song In My Next 30 Years and it chokes me up everytime it comes to the part where he says he will spend more time with his wife and kids. I actually tear up everytime. So in the spirit of 30 year resolutions I have one main resolution and that is the get rid of all drama in my life. I'm avoiding and or subtracting it from my life. End of story!
I'd like to give a special thanks to a few people for the thoughtful birthday gifts and or cards that they gave me.

30th!

Friday night we definately celebrated in style. Remember when I said that I wanted to dance more and drink less? Well, my friends weren't having it and I am sorry to say that I did have a great time, thank heavens for all of the pics to help me remember more clearly. Thank goodness there are no more birthdays anytime soon. My 30 year old body needs a break, a long break.
Yes, that is me with a side pony.
I missed Jaime so much I had to pay tribute to her!

The birthday boy!

Brad and I share a birthday and I think we both made it memorable.

There are many many more pics. If you want to check them out they are posted on my Myspace page. Thank you to everyone who helped me to celebrate as well as all the cards and presents I received. I am truly blessed with such wonderful family and friends. Thank you also to my hubs who planned everything and who took care of Seth for me on Saturday while I recooped (on the bathroom floor). See, that is also why it is a good thing there are no more birthdays for a while.

Here is to a restful week followed by a restful vacation next week!

List

It is no secret that today I am officially joining the 30s club. So on the trip into work today I started thinking about my life and how wonderful and fortunate I am. I thought maybe I'd make a list of 30 things I am grateful for... (WAIVER: There are many many more than 30 things in my life, but for the sake of it being my 30th birthday I will limit it to only 30 today!) If I leave anyone or anything out then I'm blaming it on my old brain for today.

In no special order except for the first I am thankful for...

1,2,3: Seth, Ro and Rocky! I could never have asked for a better family. I am truly lucky! Seth, you are such a blessing and you make me laugh on a daily basis. Ro, I will never be able to express how appreciative I am that you are my partner. I look forward to growing older (not old) with you!
4, 5: My family immediate and distant. In-laws, parents, step-parents, siblings, aunts, uncles and on and on and on. I am lucky to have such a large family base.
6: My mom who has always been there at my best and at my worst. I can always count on you and you are so appreciated! Thank you for always stopping in and checking on us! Seth does rat you out now too!
7,8: My grandparents who, for 30 years call me on my birthday morning and sing their hearts out to me. I thank them for so many wonderful memories over the past 30 years.
9: My brother who has turned into an amazing man, a 21 year old legal man who I am so close to. I love our brother sister bond!
10: My step-siblings near and far along with my in-law siblings near and far! Family matters the most!
11: For nieces and nephews. Being an aunt is great and watching Seth interact with his cousins is priceless!
12: Friends near, far, close and lost. I won't name names, but I value all of my friendships and those of you who have stuck by me for I truly hold near and dear to my heart. I thank you all for sharing your life with me! To many more fun filled years!
13: My job of 8 years which I truly LOVE!
14: The people who work with me day in and day out and see all my quirkiness at its best! I used to be called the decoration nazi, but since I have mellowed quite a bit.
15: My house which we said was only going to be a starter house, but we have transformed into a keeper!
16: My new truck which is amazing in the snow and makes me feel safer than any vehicle I have ever had. Jeep Commanders Rock!
17: Dr. Pepper fountain soda. I have to put this in because it literally makes a bad day turn into a GREAT day!
18: Mini vacations and grand vacations. Any way you spin it, they are memories to be cherished. Let the countdown to our Florida trip begin...
19: Girls nights out! Love them!
20: Good health. Say no more!
21: New holiday traditions. Thanksgiving at our house and Easter in Albany!
22: The bloggie world. I am able to stay close to friends far far away on a daily basis.
23: My computer and camera without both I would be lost. It is my creative outlet.
24: Date nights with the hubs! Quiet slow eaten meals just the two of us!
25: Renovations to our house now and in the future!
26: Being fortunate enough to be able to travel many many places in the past 30 years and to many many more experiences in the next 30 years.
27: Music and dancing. Crank that ipod up in the kitchen and watch us go...
28: My smut TV and soaps. I'm a hopeless romantic!
29: Family again!
30: Friends again!

Newest Seth Story

Last night while giving Seth a bath we started talking about how his birthday was gone and that Rocky's was that day. Then, we got talking about how Mommy's birthday was this week. I told Seth that I wanted lobster for my birthday. So we practiced saying the word lobster a few times and when we went in to see Ro after the bath doesn't my brilliant son say to his dad, "Lobster Mommy Birthday!" Ro says, "Did he just say lobster Mommy Birthday?" Seth is such a quick teach, god love him! Let's see how quick the hubs is!

Kissing Bandit Returns

If you have been keeping up with the blog you know that we went to Cornell to visit my brother this weekend and celebrate his 21st birthday. It blows my mind that we had been literally planning this weekend for like 4 years now and it is OVER! I can't believe that Justin is now 21 and that I will no longer be in my 20s later this week. It stinks, but as my hubs so eloquently put it, "Would you rather be in your 30s or not here at all?" I pick HERE! So here are all the drunky shots I know you are all waiting for. But, for the record, I was fine until my brother decided to buy me a shot of whiskey, what was he thinking?
Side pony at its best! Totally spoofing some random girl who actually thought this looked good and was wearing her hair like this in the bar.

The Kissing Bandit Makes an Appearance

TRIVIA: What movie is this from?
Notice the side pony makes another come back at CTB later in the evening!
As you can see we had a total blast and we are now severely paying for it. We got home at 12:15 on Sunday and took 2 hour naps while Seth slept and then I was in bed fast asleep by 9pm and today I am dragging butt! It was totally worth it and we can't wait for Justin to come home and to take him to Joe's to play a little shuffle board and darts!
Today is Rocky's 6th birthday. I can hardly believe that he is six years old. We have been parents for six years! WOW! Other then that we are getting our taxes done tomorrow night and trying to rest up for our last birthday for a while this upcoming Friday night. Ro and I both said that after this past weekend we are going to drink much much LESS this Friday. Dance more drink less that is my motto!
