To All the Mama's

I just want to put out a little thank you to all the special Mama's in my life that have helped make this summer the BEST! Between my family and all of my old and new Mama friends this summer has been truly memorable!

First, thank you to my Mom who has spent many many many mornings/afternoons/evenings with us this summer! I will remember our morning walks, stops for coffee and fountain sodas, our day trips to Oswego, letterboxing, parades, craft fairs, etc. I will also remember our date nights that you helped to make possible. Thursday nights rocked thanks to you and Tom! Thank you for a wonderful summer, and here's to a wonderful fall!

Thank you to my Mommy friends and to playdates. Playdates are the best at this age! I enjoyed spending time with and getting to know Sarah, Mackenzie, and Kristen better this summer. You Mama's are the best and our kids are going to be the best of friends!

Sarah, thank you for the facial yesterday. It was one of the best experiences I've had yet! So relaxing and peaceful! You are a great friend and I'm so glad that our families have gotten so close as well as us!

Thank you to Erin for our Friday morning walks with the boys and our missions to find fountain sodas after our walks. I loved our time to catch up, vent and talk about our lives.

Thank you to our families for always having us for dinner or stopping by to play with Seth. We enjoy our time with family so much. Our door is always open!

Thank you to my bloggie family as well. I couldn't live without catching up with old friends and new bloggie friends on a daily basis. Nina, Amanda, Jenica and of course Matt. I'm addicted to all of your blogs! A day doesn't go by when I don't check out your lives!

I'm sure I forgot someone, but know I think about our family and all of our friends daily and I feel so fortunate to have such a great group of Mama's to learn from and have fun with! To many more memorable seasons!

Re-Cooping

I feel like I am still trying to get back on track from the weekend and haven't fully recovered, but I'm trying. Monday was filled with walks and playdates. Tuesday I helped my friend Sarah with her brand new classroom and it was a lot of fun. I love to be creative so my juices were flowing. I love a classroom FULL of color! We worked for about 4 hours and then Ro took me out to lunch. We also went and visited my Gram and Gramp in Lowville and they had us for dinner.
Today we are headed to the Farmer's Market and then we have a playdate with Jacob this afternoon followed by date night! Tonight is our last date night and we are actually just going to order chinese in and call it our date night. We are both pooped!
Tomorrow my friend Sarah has planned a surprise for me to thank me for helping her. I needed no thanks I loved doing it, but it is very thoughtful of her. Seth is going to spend an hour with Nana Sue while I am gone. Thank you Sue!!!

What Comes Around Goes Around

Two weeks ago we went out with a bunch of friends to celebrate our friends Paul and Ginger who were moving to Pittsburgh. The cocktails were flowing and my hubs decided to have 10 too many draft beers and the next morning paid for it severly. I wasn't very simpathetic and told him he should know better, WELL....that came back to bite me right in the butt yesterday!
Saturday night we went to the Toby Keith concert in Saratoga with Eric, Sheryl, Jess and some other friends. I was Mommy free for an evening so I figured why not live it up. Well, I lived it up for about 5 people and paid dearly on Sunday. BUT, I had a blast so that is all that matters in the end!

This was not exactly water!
Good thing I took so many pictures or else I might not have remembered everything. Just kidding!

This is my last week of vacation, my how 11 weeks has flown by! Seth and I are doing a little bit of everything to finish out the summer! Lots of playdates and visits for the week!

Home Improvements! YIPPPEEE!!!

If you know us even a little you will know that we are always doing something to improve our house. My friend Kristen asked me yesterday what we had done to our house since we moved in 5 years ago. I said to her, it is easier to tell you what we haven't done yet, that list is shorter. You name it, we have done it... roof, windows, drywall, fence, kitchen, carpets and on and on. So to add to our list, yesterday we had our sidewalks replaced and we had our front set stamped. It turned out great and added some curb appeal to our house! Here are some pics!
Tonight is girls dinner at Celia's so I'm headed out in a couple of hours and then on Saturday we are headed to Albany where we are taking a limo to the Toby Keith concert with Sheryl, Eric, Jess, Jeff and Jess! So exciting!

Calmness

The top 2 molars have broken through so we are in a state of calm now. You forge what those sleepless nights are like when you are spoiled for soooo many months. For the time being things are great and the pain in this mouth has stopped, until...the bottom 2 come in!

We are headed to look at a house this morning. We haven't looked in a couple of months because we had decided to put an addition on the back of our house and stay here. We have poured many many hours of blood, sweat and tears into this house and we love it, but our friend came over who is an architect and he said that to do what we want to do to the house is do-able, but it could get pretty pricey because we would be taking out 2 load bearing walls. So, we are unofficially looking again and we don't need to move right now, but if something catches our eye then we should have no problem selling our house. We'll just have to wait and see!

Beer pong game with Justin last week!

I stink at it, but it was fun!

Calgon Take me Away...

It has been a couple of "those" days. We are currently going through teething hell and it isn't pretty! I count down the hours to nap and bed times and just try to keep his mind of the pain at all other hours of the day. I feel so badly, this has to be the worst experience he has had as of yet with the teeth. He is drooling like crazy, has a canker sore on his tongue and he is talking funny because it hurts him. Damn molars, why can't he just be born with them??? Anyhow, that is life right now!

I did manage to squeeze 2 hours of Mommy time in this morning to grab breakfast at Tin Pan with two friends from work. The food was delicious and the peace and quiet was priceless! Now it is almost nap time so I will enjoy every minute of the peace and then battle the afternoon!

Wish me luck...

Making the Rounds

First we went to the Magic Forest in Lake George and yesterday we hit the Enchanted Forest in Old Forge. We have definately taken a tour of the 60's theme parks in the state this summer. We have had the best luck this summer though. The weather was so perfect and Seth enjoyed every minute of it.All the water pics were taken by Poppy C so I'll have to share them at a different time.

In other news... our weekend started out a little rocky after a little good-bye partying on Friday night we had a little drama to end the evening. We started to walk out of the Paddock Club heading to our truck and we realized that we had lost the keys to the truck, the ONLY keys we had to the truck. But, to make a long and stressful story short, they were found in the couch at the Paddock Club. Needless to say from now on, my hubs is not to carry the cell phone or keys when we go out, I'm pursing them. Alls well that ends well though!

Also, when is my hubs going to learn not to drink draft beer? Can someone tell me???
Will he ever learn?

Tagged

My friend Nina has tagged me, so here goes:

*We have to post these rules before we give you the facts.

*Players start with eight random facts/habits about themselves.

*People who are tagged write their own blog post about their eight things and include these rules.

*At the end of your blog, you need to choose eight people to get tagged and list their names. Don’t forget to leave them a comment telling them they’re tagged and they should read your blog.

1. I click my nails when I'm nervous/excited/stressed/bored and it drives most people crazy. I have even had students ask me to stop. Politely of course!

2. I get horribly car sick if I'm not sitting in the front seat for long trips. I used to throw up on numerous occasions as a child. Ask any of my parents!

3. I LOVE fair week in July at my Gram's house. It is my favorite week of the whole year. I love the parade, people, food, rides and our family getting together. I get super sad when that week is over.

4. I HATE it when people are mad at me or when I get in fights with people. It stresses me out so badly and makes me a nervous wreck. I like to keep the peace.

5. I love reliving my childhood with Seth. I have had such a wonderful summer doing all of my favorite activities wth him.

6. I'm totally addicted to watching old episodes of The O.C. and One Tree Hill. They are on the Soap Network Channel from 5-7pm every night so I DVR them and then watch them when Seth goes to bed. I'm a teen soap junky!

7. I actually dread going back to work in the fall. I used to jump at the chance to work, but now I jump at the chance to hang with Seth.

8. I don't like ungrateful people. When you put thought into a gift or a card or a picture you should show gratitude to the person who was thoughtful enough to give it to you. Just a pet peave of mine!

So those are just a few thoughts/habits/tid bits about me. Now I have to tag someone so I'll tag Jenica and Matt since they are the only other bloggers that haven't already been tagged!

Great Sacandaga Lake

We drove down to Sheryl and Eric's late Friday night and stayed over at Eric's parents house and then Saturday morning we were off on our boating adventure. First let me say that Dick and Amy's house is magical because Seth slept from 9pm Friday night until 8:45am Saturday morning. That is his world record right now! Anyhow, moving on... We set out on the boat at about 10am and went to an island called "Sand Island" which lives up to its name because we anchored the boat right up to the sandy shore, set out chairs and a cooler and played for 4 hours. We had the best time, or I should say Seth had the best time, it was so much fun just watching him in the sand and water. Then, at about 2pm Seth was starting to hit meltdown mode so we drove back to the boat club and dropped he and Ro off for a nap and my wonderful hubs let me stay out on the boat for a ride and a cocktail. It was just the best day!! Thank you Sheryl, Eric and Jess for so much fun! Today we are headed to Addy's baptism party as soon as the little man wakes up! Followed by another fun filled week! Details to come...

Headed

We are headed once again and not the last time this summer! We are headed to Albany, actually Broadalbin to be specific to take Seth on an adventure with Uncle Eric and Aunt Sheryl. We are headed out onto Sacandaga Lake tomorrow and Seth's first time on a boat!

I have to say that I'm all about it being warm and toasty in the summer, but this week is killing me. I am sweating myself silly and I'm about at the end of my rope. I'm not saying that I want snow or ice or even rain, but God, please cool it off just about 10 degrees! With that said I really don't have anything else exciting going on at this point. I am sure that I will have new pics after tomorrow!

Hodgepodge

It seems as if since we have gotten home from our vacation that we are doing a hodgepodge if things. Ro was in a 3 day golf tournament last weekend and he was beat come Sunday. He was gone most of all 3 days and got home late at night. He had a blast and that is all that matters though. The wives went on Saturday night and had dinner and then watched the karaoke. That was a blast! People are just hysterical. Our friend Paul was singing most of the night and he got right into it. Too funny! Ro and Paul

I'm sorry it turned out so dark,
but this is our friend Paul singing ACDC!
Since the weekend ended I have been working this week at school. They pay you so much per hour during what is called "Computer Camp" so it is a no brainer! Easy money! Toby Keith concert money! Today my mom and I are taking my Grandma out to lunch on us! We don't often get much girl time so we are taking advantage of it!
